2006 NANBF Central Midwest - May 20, 2006

The morning started off with Presentation. This will be the last time the 1pc will be used in the NANBF. All shows going foward are 2pc only.

I will miss the 1pc. This suit only has 2 shows on it so it is slightly used.

I felt great as I hit the stage. The Central Midwest is special because it was the first show I ever did.

Good-bye to my 1pc

The morning symetry round followed and there were 10 competitors in my short class

What is great about the shows is you get to make new friends and see old ones. Here I am with one of each and both from Omaha.

The judges moved us around for comparisons.

The girl on the end was just phenominal. We saw her the previous week in another show and today see looked a lot harder and more filled out.

My new friend Edie was trained by my other friend and mentor Kelly Adair. This was her first show and it was great to be back stage buddies.

Some back shots from the digital camera. I am really proud of how all of the work I did in the off season paid off.

The judges told me repeatedly last year I needed more muscle and not be so lean. I packed on about 8 lbs of it.

The one comment I heard over and over again was how much I improved. Even the judges who saw me this year were pleased I did what I was told to do.

The only problem was that the judging criteria had changed. Though the mass is important, this year they made leaness a priority.

Back stage with my friend Lisa. She is in the Medium Class and had the best overall package on stage. Not all of the judges saw it that way.

This is my new friend Edie. She is super sweet and is a dentist to boot. She came into this comp really well prepared. Kelly Adair is her trainer

Kelly couldn't be there and had Edie hook up with us.

The kickoff the PM show. The crowd just loves these intros when we come out, hit a couple of poses to some rockin' music

The Presentation Final was electric. The stage was all decked out and the atmosphere was charged. It was a packed auditorium.

The Central Midwest is one of the premier midwest shows and the size of the show over last year was amazing.

There is nothing like the cheer of the crowd when you enter and exit the stage. The in between stuff is cool, but that introduction is really special

Here is the short class top 5. It was hard not placing when doing all the things the judges said I had to do. I did my best and that is all one can do

Here is the overall of the Open Figure. This show wasn't without controversery (are they ever?) but there was 1 undisputed winner for the pro card

Ever wondered what victory looks like? This was to be her day and it certainly was. Her name is Sirvan, be looking for her in the future.
