2006 NANBF Bluffs Classic - Sept 16, 2006

Back from lunch and time to get ready for the fun part - Finals!

Time to touch up the tan. Never again will I see on my judging on my judging sheets 'need to be darker'

Final touch is a hamburger patty and water. I also have a slice of Pizza to have just prior to going on stage! Yep - pizza!

This was a cool shot Jim got as I am eating back next to an open garage door. It was a beautiful afternoon.

Getting started - here is the short class. The show kicked off with figure whereas this morning figure came after the intermission break

Finals is so incredibly full of energy and the theatre was pack and the crowd was into the show.

Shain (promoter) did such an excellent job with this show and I couldn't wait to get out there

My walk and posing tonite seemed right on and my body came in tight and I filled out just in time.

I did my part, prepared, relaxed and hitting my poses - now it is in the hands of the judges

Here are the top 3 in no particular order

Now the order is established and I was announced winner of the short class

Now it is time to await the winner of the other class so we can compete for the overall title.

Here I am with the other class winner as we begin quarter turns

I really was suprised to realize I was going to compete for the overal title. My last title win was a single class so this was a first

I had to concentrate on my posing, but it was so cool to have another first that I couldn't help but smile the whole time

Here we are in position for the judges decision

I was announced overall winner and the cheers went up and I could here my friends and husband - it was quite the feeling

I received a trophy and winners jacket plus a Polar Heart Rate Monitor

It feels great to know that tonite all of the preperation and patience paid off in a big win qualifying me to go to the USA Invitational in Chicago

Here are my 2 figure trophies. I can't stop smiling even knowing I have to rush to change to my bodybuilding suit and do something I have never done

This next series is my 60 second bodybuilding routine. I did it to the song 'Fighter'.

I was nervous but once the music kicked in I found the groove and the crowd cheering really energized me

In all of my shows I have never been this full and hard. Dr. Joe's coached my diet all of the way to stage time and it really paid off

I was suprised how much fun I was having out there

I recieved soooo much encouragement from judges, fans and other competitors that I should really consider persuing bodybuilding

I love figure and don't want to abandon it so I plan on doing both. The thrill of doing this was unreal and it was exciting to show all of my work

I couldn't believe right out of the gate, this figure girl won her bodybuilding class!

Now Submasters was tougher. Michelle was an WNBF Pro Bodybuilder needing to refresh her pro-card because it lapsed

Yes she is that tall and I am that short! She was so much fun to be out here with

We clowned around during the pose down and I had a hard time keeping from just laughing the whole time

The announcement came that I had taken 2nd place. I looked at her and thought there is the winner.....

However, after the show I found out I lost by 1 point! Apollo Cree lost to Rocky by 1 second and I lost to a WNBF Pro by 1 point. Wow this was fun!

Now I have 2 more to add to carry, which posed a problem. How do I carry this stuff?

I know, I will carry these and have Jim get the bags - LOL

This morning it was bacon and an omlette, whole eggs and keep the cheese - oh and a Boston Cream Muffin and a Coke! Ah, the post comp re-feed !
